From Paul’s Desk

The North American cabinet consumer has never been more style savvy, trend conscious and features focused. That’s why Showplace is rolling out a dramatic package of product improvements in September. These changes to the Showplace framed cabinet line provide a more fashionable look, increase functionality and enhance the flexibility of storage options inherent in Showplace cabinetry.
The changes include increasing the thickness of the Showplace cabinet box to improve its structural strength. We’re also making the top drawer in Showplace drawer base cabinets one inch higher for a more pleasing appearance and superior storage space—while maintaining the full function of the base cabinet.
Another storage upgrade features an increase of one inch to the depth of standard wall cabinets to accommodate today’s larger plates and serving dishes, from a 12 inch depth to 13 inches. This change gives consumers more space and a more contemporary look. Showplace drawers are also getting a makeover, with improvements to the standard drawer to increase functionality while still exceeding industry strength and durability specifications.
Some companies would introduce these changes gradually, but here at Showplace we want our customers to have the best cabinet we can make. We’ve re-tooled and prepared inventory to roll out the stronger, more functional cabinet on all normal production orders received on and after September 23, 2019. Best of all, there will be no price increase on Showplace cabinetry with these dramatic product enhancements.
Consumers will be able to choose a stronger Showplace cabinet with beefier construction, taller drawers and deeper wall cabinets—all of which meet the needs of today’s cabinet shopper. By combining these product upgrades with the flexibility of Showplace design customization, Showplace dealers can offer one of the finest American-made cabinets in the market, all at a price point that has made Showplace one of the fastest-growing cabinet manufacturers in the country.
