From Paul’s Desk
By Paul Sova, president Showplace Cabinetry
As the year winds down and the holidays draw near, people everywhere count their blessings and stop to consider the many things they are thankful for. We gather together—often in our kitchens—and talk about the things that matter most: family, friends, health and the prospects for a bountiful new year. Here at Showplace Cabinetry, we’re doing the same thing, being thankful for our creative dealer partners, our reliable vendor partners, our loyal and growing cabinet consumer base and, especially, our employee owners. It’s our family of employee owners that I’m most thankful for, this year and every year.
In addition to a hard-working and dedicated team of employee owners who craft some of the best cabinetry in North America, Showplace is fortunate to have a core group of seasoned cabinet industry professionals who direct the course of this company. That leadership team makes us successful. They are the reason we are able to build relationships throughout our service area. These Showplace leaders are the people we trust to take care of our customers and take care of each other.
Like all our employee owners, our management team makes this company succeed because they are part of it—it’s their business. They connect with dealers, design for consumers and lead the industry in creativity and innovation. We’ve been very open with our dealer partners that because we put our employee owners first, we’re able to achieve our company goals of service, quality and reliability.
Throughout our company, Showplace employee owners are given the ability to do their jobs, to make decisions that show in the excellence of our products. In mature companies like Showplace, with stable ownership and an excellent track record for growth, a CEO can just get out of the way. We’ve created an environment of trust and proven relationships—and I’ve found that I have to allow our leadership team to just do their jobs. Our growth speaks for the success of that strategy—Showplace Cabinetry is significantly outpacing the industry. That success comes from people who care and know how to lead, and that’s something for us all to be thankful for—this year and every year.
